We have the joy of working with scholars through guidance lessons, individual counseling, and small group counseling. We also collaborate with parents and school staff to best meet the needs of our scholars.

Elementary school counselors play a crucial role in supporting the social, emotional, and academic well-being of young students. Their primary responsibilities include:

  1. Emotional Support: Counselors provide a safe and welcoming environment for students to express their feelings, fears, and concerns. They offer emotional support and guidance to help students navigate challenges such as bullying, family issues, and stress.

  2. Social Skills Development: Counselors teach and reinforce essential social skills, such as communication, conflict resolution, and empathy, to help students build healthy relationships with their peers.

  3. Academic Guidance: They assist students in setting academic goals, developing study skills, and making appropriate course selections. Counselors also work closely with teachers and parents to identify students who may need additional academic support.

  4. Crisis Intervention: In times of crisis or emergencies, elementary school counselors play a vital role in providing immediate support to students and helping them cope with difficult situations.

  5. Individual and Group Counseling: Counselors conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students who may require personalized assistance. They also organize group counseling sessions to address common issues faced by students, such as self-esteem or social anxiety.

  6. Conflict Resolution: Counselors mediate conflicts between students, teaching them effective ways to resolve disputes peacefully and learn from their experiences.

  7. Character Education: They promote positive character traits and values, fostering a school environment that encourages kindness, respect, and responsibility among students.

  8. Parent and Teacher Collaboration: Counselors collaborate with parents and teachers to develop strategies for supporting students' overall development and well-being. They participate in meetings and provide valuable insights into students' needs.

  9. Career Exploration: Elementary school counselors introduce students to the concept of career exploration, helping them identify their interests and talents and guiding them towards a path of lifelong learning and career development.
