About Me
Gloria Rodríguez is a 2nd Grade Bilingual Teacher at Dr. C.M. Cash Elementary in San Benito, TX. She guides, facilitates, and provides the necessary skills to scholars to succeed and be prepared for the next grade level.
Born and grew up in Mexico, Gloria Rodriguez studied Engineering in Computer Science. After receiving her diploma, she received an offer to work as a math teacher at the same college she graduated from. She taught Electronics and Mathematics in Mexico. When she emigrated to the U.S.A., she was convinced she wanted to continue in the education field and decided to obtain an EC-4 Bilingual Certification. At the same time, she was enrolled to obtain a Master of Arts at UTB/TSC. She obtained both diplomas in December 2010. After she received her master’s degree, she worked as an Adjunct Professor at UTB/TSC, as a Teacher Assistant, and Parental Involvement Educator at Brownsville ISD. Her leadership has significantly helped many college students who are now successful bilingual professionals.
Rodriguez participated in an art exhibition in Mexico and Weslaco Texas Public Library. She has two Spanish-published books of poetry and is co-author of Spanish poetry ekphrastic photography-“Viceversa”.
Gloria Rodriguez enjoys educating children and building the necessary foundations for the future citizens of our country, this wonderful opportunity has led her to believe that public schools can offer children a complete, with high standards education.
