About Me
Beverly Ann Ortiz-Salinas is a 2nd-grade teacher with 25 years of experience and sponsors the DCE Photography Team. She graduated from University of Texas Pan American with a Bachelors in International Business and University of Texas Brownsville with a teaching degree combined with a Masters degree in education administration with a bilingual background . Ms. Ortiz is fueled by her need to make Dr. Cash a place that is safe and inviting for her scholars and parents. She feels that working together with parents, staff, and the scholar is the way to make the scholar's academic experience grow to its fullest. Ms. Ortiz is eager to learn about her scholars to find what they need academically to grow in their educational path.
When Ms. Ortiz was a young student she did not have the best experience during one year of school. She promised herself that she would not allow that to happen to another student under her watch. She believes that a teacher spends such a large part of a child's life with them, and it should be a good experience that will leave amazing memories. She wants them to have personal growth and build their self-esteem as well. Her interests include making memories with family and friends, Wonder Woman, She-Hulk, dragonflies, and she has started to garden.
