About Me

Mrs. House is currently a kindergarten teacher. She is originally from Tokyo, Japan and received B.A. in English and American literature at Aoyama Gakuin University. She moved to the U.S. in 2003. 

She has taught 5th grade for two years and music for 12 years. Kindergarten is absolutely her favorite grade to teach. Transferring the Japanese teaching certificate to Texas required many tests and paperwork. After she earned the general ed teacher certification, she passed the certification to teach music. She has directed choir and piano recitals for many years. She was named the 2020 District Teacher of the Year. 

Her special interests include:

All sports, exercising, clean eating, gardening, salsa dancing, rock climbing, all animals, and traveling. She is practicing minimalism and to make her life more environmentally friendly this year!
